Women Empowerment Leadership & Law (WELL) Conference – 2021

WE WILL BE OFFERING FREE CLE CREDITS FOR OUR WELL CONFERENCE.  SESSION ONE IS TOMORROW.  REGISTER NOW!!

The Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ) cordially invites you to attend its Women Empowerment Leadership & Law (WELL) Conference!  The purpose of the WELL Conference is to empower and encourage women to become leaders and to flourish in leadership positions within the legal profession and beyond, and to educate the community on how they can help and support women empowerment. 

This year’s theme is “STRENGTH: Caring for Her Whole Self in the Practice of Law.”  The Conference will feature distinguished speakers from the bar and the private sector who will be presenting on current and timely topics, such as overcoming struggles unique to women in the legal profession, mental health, family law, and more! 

The WELL Conference is FREE and open to attorneys (women and men), non-attorneys, students, family members, and community members.  The Conference will be held in two sessions.  Session 1 will be held tomorrow, March 25th, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., and Session 2 will be held on Tuesday, March 30th, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.   Please register using the following links:

Session 1 will feature a stellar panel entitled, “The Top 10 Things Women Should Know About Family Law.”  Our panelists include Tabatha Castro, Esq., The Castro Firm, Inc.; Maritza Rodriguez, Esq., Rodriguez Law Firm, LLC; Raquel Vallejo, Esq., Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group; and Albertina Webb, Esq., Hill Wallack LLP. 

Available CLE Credit through Day Pitney LLP as the CLE sponsor: 1.0 NY CLE credit will be available to attendees (NJ and CT CLE credit available through reciprocity). This program is appropriate for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys.

Session 2 will feature a powerhouse panel entitled, “HERO: Her Extraordinary Response to Obstacles.”  The keynote address for the Conference will be delivered by Dr. Melissa Rivera-Marano of MRM Psychological Testing and Clinical Services, President of the Latino Mental Health Association of New Jersey.  Our panelists include Eliberty Lopez, Esq., Bloomberg LP; Evelyn Padin, Esq., Law Offices of Evelyn Padin; Patricia Diaz-Rodriguez, Esq., Ankura; Anna Maria Tejada, Esq., Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP; and moderated by: Sheea Sybblis, Esq., Nestle Health Science.
