Veterinary Business Advisors, located in Whitehouse Station, NJ, is a nation-wide consulting firm advising veterinarians and practice owners on the legal and business issues present in the veterinary profession and the small business community. VBA is currently searching for a part-time transactional attorney, with a focus in mergers and acquisitions (including private equity), succession planning; partnerships, employment contracts, real estate, vendor leases, start-ups and other contractual matters customary for small business transactions. This transactional attorney will work directly with our clients which include small, large, equine and mixed animal practices as well as large multi-specialty hospitals. This individual must have at least five years of experience as a full time transaction attorney working with small business employers, and must be a mature, organized, experienced and entrepreneurial professional.
Responsibilities will include negotiating, drafting and review of legal documents; advising on organizational strategy and risk management, research of information, writing articles or other informational documents for publication, and presentation of information and concepts to groups such as clients, students and conference audiences. This individual must be technically savvy, including having expertise in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email applications and other current business applications, and conducting internet research.
