NJWLA celebrates the historic Senate confirmation of the Honorable Ketanji Brown Jackson to become the 116th Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Judge Jackson will be the first Black woman Justice in the Court’s 233-year history. Of the 115 justices in the Supreme Court’s history, she will be only the sixth woman, and fourth person of color. Judge Jackson’s confirmation provides hope for a better future and equal justice under the law. It signifies another important step toward making our nation’s highest court reflect the diversity of this country
