NJWLA board member Megan Monson and former NJWLA President Lynda Bennett, lead an initiative within their firm to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual Light the Night event which is focused on finding a cure for blood cancers. Lynda and Megan leveraged Lowenstein Sandler’s Women’s Initiative Network and Women’s Enrichment Initiative to create Team Lowenstein Sandler which has raised nearly $55,000 – desperately needed funds that LLS will use to endow research for blood cancer therapies and provide financial support to families who are facing the significant challenge of beating blood cancer.
Team Lowenstein spearheaded some cool and innovative fundraising ideas which included conducting a wine raffle where more than 65 bottles of wine were awarded to lucky winners who supported this worthy cause. To make it happen, Lynda called upon several of her NJWLA sisters who demonstrated extraordinary generosity by donating bottles of highly priced wine, providing cash donations, and buying raffle tickets which yielded a few NJWLA members bringing home some terrific spirits.
There is still time to support Lynda and Megan by making a donation to Team Lowenstein if you too would like to contribute to the success of this effort.
