Position: Partner Attorney
Industry: Employment and Labor Law
DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP, is seeking one or more Partner Attorneys with six or more years of experience handling employment cases and working on personnel matters in both public and private sectors. Candidates must have strong knowledge and specialize in labor practice proceedings, grievance and interest arbitration. Ideal candidate will work proactively to minimize the impact of labor and employment issues in the State of New Jersey. Candidates must possess exceptional negotiation, communication and writing skills. Litigation experience is a plus. Competitive salary and benefits. Responsibilities include:
- Providing counsel to municipal corporations, labor organizations, public school boards, and private corporations on a variety of matters
- Providing counsel to human resources on management of over 3,000 public and private sector employees
- Negotiating a wide range of collective bargaining agreements
- Providing counsel on regulatory matters, employee policy drafting and review, advising and litigating various disciplinary matters
- Conducting employment trainings and leading internal workplace investigations, in addition to reviewing benefits and compensation matters
- Advising employers on how to develop and implement workplace policies that are in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Requirements include:
Juris Doctorate Degree
Valid Bar Admission in New Jersey
6+ Years of Experience in Litigation, Employment and Labor Law
Specialization in Labor Practice Proceedings, Grievance and Interest Arbitration
Exceptional Negotiation, Communication and Writing Skills
