Litigation Associate – Princeton, NJ

Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in Princeton, NJ for an associate in the Litigation Department.  The ideal candidate will have two to three years of relevant litigation experience. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey. Additional license to practice in the States of New York or Pennsylvania or the ability to become admitted to practice in the States of New York or Pennsylvania preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Complex litigation experience in New Jersey state and federal courts required.
  • Strong research, writing skills, and academic record required.
  • Federal or appellate clerkship preferred.
  • Large law firm experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a dynamic litigation team.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Visual Acuity

  • Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
