Description: Fox Rothschild seeks an attorney with significant experience in global patent prosecution and opinion work in the field of life sciences to reside in several of the Firm’s offices. This position requires familiarity with all aspects of patent prosecution and counseling, preferably including licensing and agreement work. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience and a strong background in life sciences, particularly biotech. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position. 

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required.  PhD in biological sciences preferred. The candidate must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

1. Strong academic record and excellent written and oral communication skills required.
2. Strong life sciences skills, particularly biotech.
3. Pharma/Biotech experience preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

1. Candidate must be willing to commute into a Fox Rothschild office at least 3 days a week.
2. This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

1. Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Visual Acuity

1. Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
