Princeton Legal Search Group is retained on an exclusive basis by RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey. We are leading the search for an experienced generalist attorney for a growth opportunity. RWJBarnabas Health provides treatment and services to more than three million patients each year. In this role you will:
- Independently structure, draft, review, advise on and/or negotiate a wide range of physician, real estate and other transactions and contracts. This includes, but is not limited to physician employment contracts, physician acquisitions, service agreements, leases, clinical research, financial transactions, management services, real estate and equipment leases, marketing, consulting, information technology and other commercial transactions and contracts.
- Advise on health care regulatory issues such as Stark, HIPAA, licensing, and other state and federal requirements.
- Develop and counsel on creative solutions to a wide variety of general healthcare legal matters and serve as an effective and collaborative business partner to clients.
Position Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate degree from a nationally recognized law school and excellent academic credentials required.
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and eligibility for admission to the New Jersey bar as in-house counsel.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal healthcare laws, rules and regulations.
- Minimum of seven years experience. Prior experience in a health care related law firm or legal department of a large health care organization preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated professional, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated time management skills; well organized and able to multi-task/manage many projects at one time.
- A roll up the sleeves approach.
