TITLE: Deputy Attorney General 4 or Deputy Attorney General 3

SALARY: $62,090.59 to $90,030.01 $71,879.61 to $104,216.79

LOCATION: Division of Law
Richard J. Hughes Justice Complex
25 Market Street, Trenton, NJ

NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE: One (1)

DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Section Chief and/or Assistant Section Chief of the Personnel, Community Affairs, & Elections Section, responsible for handling a wide range of Second Injury Fund claims for total and permanent disability in Workers’ Compensation Court, including allegations of workplace injuries or occupational exposure, together with pre-existing disability. Assignment involves nearly daily appearances in Workers’ Compensation courts, where the cases are conferenced and litigated; may perform other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor. Admission to practice as an Attorney at Law in the State of New Jersey required.
EXPERIENCE: DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL 4: Two (2) years of experience as a practicing attorney.
DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL 3: Three (3) years of experience as a practicing attorney.

LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
