NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Two (2)
DUTIES: Under direction of an Assistant Attorney General and/or Deputy Attorney General 1 or other supervisory official within the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control, Department of Law & Public Safety, will assist in the supervision of the Bureau, performing both legal and administrative duties; oversees investigations and prosecution of all charges for violations of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act; assists with the development of policy, drafting of regulations, special rulings and advisory opinions; initiates and implements training programs; reviews and approves legal filings, applications, pleadings/charges, and interprets and enforces laws, regulations, special rulings and conditions; coordinates with local jurisdictions and other Federal and State entities, as appropriate; assists with attorney case reviews and evaluations; performs other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor. Admission to practice as an Attorney at Law in the State of New Jersey is required.
EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of experience as a practicing attorney, one (1) year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey.
Appointees will be required to be compliant with all Executive Orders (EO), mandates, policies, and directives related to Covid-19, including testing and vaccinations, and including but not limited to EO 252 (Murphy), EO 283 (Murphy) and/or EO 290 (Murphy).
