Thank You to our Sponsors

Thanks to NJWLA’s In House Committee and Deloitte for planning and hosting yesterday’s breakfast CLE – Intro to Accounting for Attorneys. We were treated to a lovely breakfast in Deloitte’s impressive new offices in Morristown where we had the pleasure of learning from Anthony Campanelli and Jeff Bergmann some common accounting terms, items to look for on financial statements, balance sheets, and the importance of those footnotes!

Thanks to all for an informative and fun CLE.

NJWLA members, friends, and sponsors gathered at the Stage House Tavern this week to officially kick off this year’s programming. NJWLA President, Renée Rubino, welcomed old friends and new members and thanked our generous sponsors, Genova Burns LLC and Cg Tax, Audit & Advisory and to all who attended for their support of NJWLA and its mission.

We look forward to seeing you all at future events and CLE programming!

NJWLA, Jen the Yoga Lawyer and Blank Rome all joined together for a perfect night of networking, great food, terrific company and, of course, CLE! Our discussion centered on attorney wellness and how wellness affects our competence as attorneys as well as our emotional and physical well being. NJWLA thanks Blank Rome for hosting and sponsoring our guests and thanks Jen the Yoga Lawyer for sharing her knowledge, her calm, and her helpful tools, tips and techniques to help us with our wellness

On Monday, June 3rd, with perfect weather conditions, NJWLA and ECBF co-hosted our annual FORE Women Only Golf Outing & Clinic. More than 60 women joined to golf, learn to golf (with instruction from pros), improve their golf game, or just network with friends and colleagues at the picturesque and hospitable

Cedar Hill Golf & Country Club in Livingston.

This year’s charitable partner is the

LPGA*USGA Greater Newark Girls Golf

We were pleased to be able to raise awareness for the organization and to have representatives including one of the teen participants who spoke to our guests about the impact and opportunities the program has offered her. All prize raffle proceeds were donated to the group and we encourage you to check out the website to see the positive impact of this impressive organization!

As always, our sponsors were generous and a great time was had by all!

Thank you to our supporters and our attendees!

NJWLA’s Solo and Small Firm Committee hosted an awesome outdoor networking mixer in Morristown last week. Thanks to our generous sponsor, Erich Radlmann of Squadron and to

Lenzo & Reis for the picturesque accommodations.

The weather was a perfect backdrop for an opportunity to connect with colleagues and the home made treats were the perfect finishing touch!

Stay tuned for upcoming events.

The 2024-2025 NJWLA Board of Directors was sworn in on July 9th by United States Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey, Jessica S. Allen — a revered past president of the NJWLA. We are always honored to have Judge Allen preside over our events and to have our prior leadership maintain their involvement in, and provide their guidance to, the NJWLA. The Installation Dinner was attended by more than 70 board members with great excitement over their plans for the upcoming term and a few heartfelt speeches about what the NJWLA Sisterhood has meant to some of our leaders.

NJWLA President Renée Rubino, of Gibbons, P.C., will lead the organization for the next year with an eye toward the history of NJWLA and how far we’ve come since the revitalization began almost 20 years ago. During this term, NJWLA will continue to expand its diversity and inclusion in furtherance of its mission to help advance and retain women of all backgrounds, through education and activism, to the highest levels of law firms, government, academia, community, corporate positions, and the judiciary.

Enjoy your summer and stay tuned for upcoming events, CLE’s and Member News.

NJWLA’s Women’s Leadership and Diversity Committees teamed up to host an awesome Speed Mentoring event at Lion’s Roar Brewing in Westfield last week! With 40 people in the room, we switched the groups and the pairings over the course of the night with lots of conversation, connection, and inspiration! We are so grateful to our sponsor, Adamy Valuation, and to Lion’s Roar Brewing Company for helping us to make the night such a great success!

Thank you to NJWLA’s Solo and Small Firm Directors and to our fabulous hosts, Geeta, Priya and Hudson Court Reporting!

NJWLA members have enjoyed two fun and meaningful gatherings this week – and it’s only Wednesday!

We started with an inspiring

Tales From the Bench hosted by Ferro Labella & Weiss with our guest of honor, Judge Bonnie J. Mizdol.

We are so grateful for candid, honest, and entertaining conversations like this, and for the wonderful hospitality of our host firms! The opportunity to have intimate meetings with such phenomenally accomplished women of the bench and bar is just one of the perks of the NJWLA Sisterhood! Thank you to NJWLA’s Judicial Outreach Committee for coordinating all the details!

The event was graciously hosted and sponsored by

Lerner David LLPin a lovely space for networking, with an incredible spread of dinner that led to even more conversation and gathering. We thank all who attended, our panelists, planners, and host and sponsor for a fabulous event!

On Monday, NJWLA members were treated to an awesome Holiday Party at CSG Law’s new offices! With over 100 members in attendance it was the perfect evening to catch up with old friends and to meet new members all while exploring CSG Law’s new headquarters and learning about the life changing work of our charitable partner, Manavi, the first organization in the United States dedicated to ending all forms of violence against South Asian survivors.

NJWLA is grateful to all who attended, for your generous support of Manavi, and of course, to our gracious host and sponsor, CSG Law, for an evening of great food and fabulous accommodations!
