A progressive maritime entity is seeking for an Attorney to join their Executive Affairs Department in their Secaucus, NJ headquarters office. The primary responsibility of this position will be to assist the Senior Director of Investment on various investment projects. Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Administering, engaging, supporting, and developing strategies to all lawsuits served upon the Company, and affiliated entities, and reporting such events to Senior and Executive Management.
- Providing legal support for active lawsuits, and partnering with the corporate legal affairs personnel, and other involved divisions/departments.
- Reviewing all company affiliated vendor contracts and service contract clauses pertaining to operations; assess potential risk and exposure to additional costs and liability.
- Interfacing with other departments prior to, and during negotiations, regarding contract language.
- Maintaining communication with headquarters; transmitting contracts for final approval.
- Filing and maintenance of all vendor contracts.
- Identifying potential investment projects.
- Performing all initial due diligence on potential projects, including SWOT analysis, feasibility studies, and financial modeling
- Reviewing project proposals.
- Engaging with outside vendors to further identify targets and projects
Required Experience:
- 3-5 years of investment experience in a corporate environment or finance related field
- A minimum of ten (10) years engaged in the preparation of executive studies in Mandarin.
Education:
- Law Degree and a status as Member of the Bar (NJ)
Skills:
- Fluent Mandarin – reading, writing, speaking
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
