Attorney  (FT/PT) Health Care Access ProjectAttorney  (FT/PT)

Legal Services of New Jersey (LSNJ), an Edison-based statewide non-profit that provides civil legal assistance to low-income New Jerseyans, seeks an attorney for its Health Care Access Project (HCAP). Full time and part time hours are available.

HCAP provides direct representation to health care consumers throughout the state, from advice to full representation depending upon the issue, directly advocate with state and federal agencies, and engage in impact litigation where necessary.

We are seeking a person with an interest in engaging in detail with individual clients as well as policy. Training will be provided for those without Medicaid experience. Spanish fluency is a plus.

HCAP is a highly collaborative project with the goal of ensuring that low-income NJ residents can live as healthy lives as possible. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have led to increased recognition of the importance of equity in health care access, and HCAP wants to build its capacity for this work..

LSNJ offers a positive workplace among colleagues who enjoy and are passionate about their work.  We encourage a supportive, team-work environment, with work-life balance.  Benefits include comprehensive health and retirement plans and in-house trainings that offer CLE credit.

To be considered please send a cover letter describing the reasons for your interest in the position and relevant background, along with a resume, to jobs@lsnj.org. EOE.
