Attorney – Foreclosure Defense Project

Legal Services of New Jersey (LSNJ) is a dynamic non-profit law firm working to make a difference in our low-income clients’ lives. Our staff is diverse, including a wide variety of backgrounds, bringing varied perspectives, work experiences, lifestyles and cultures. LSNJ’s strength comes from the dedication, experience, talents, and perspectives of every employee. Whether you worked in private practice or in public interest – join us and help build a more just legal system for New Jersey’s most vulnerable populations.

LSNJ is seeking an attorney to join the Foreclosure Defense Project. The attorney will work with a team that advises and provides legal representation for consumers in mortgage and property tax foreclosures. The team also works on policy matters and impact litigation when resources permit.
We are looking for a person with 3-5 years of civil litigation experience, especially in areas relating to consumer protection and foreclosure defense. Chapter 13 bankruptcy experience and Spanish fluency are preferred but not required.

LSNJ offers a positive workplace among colleagues who enjoy and are passionate about their work. We encourage a supportive, team work environment, with work-life balance. Benefits include comprehensive health and retirement plans and in-house trainings that offer CLE credit.
To be considered, send a resume and cover letter describing your interest and related experience, and the states and years of all bar admissions. Please also include two recent legal writing samples. Send all required components to jobs@lsnj.org. EOE.
