Job Title: Associate

Reports to: Partner/Senior Attorneys

The Firm’s Florham Park Office seeks an Associate with 5-6 years of experience to work with their insurance coverage practice group. This practice represents US and foreign insurers in complex, high value, high profile coverage litigations and arbitrations.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drafting pleadings and briefs
• Preparing correspondence to colleagues and clients
• Analyzing insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage recommendations for clients
• Conducting legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis
• Drafting interrogatories and document demands
• Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation
• Attending depositions, hearings, and mediations as required
• Submitting filings to the court

Education and Experience

• J.D./LLM
• Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, additional admissions a plus
• Insurance coverage experience
• Litigation experience

Skills and Ability

• Exceptional legal writing and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
