Corporate Counsel (Part-time)
Part of: The US Legal Team, responsible for U.S., Canada, and Australia

The Corporate Counsel is needed to do a wide variety of quality work and serve as the point person on a broad range of legal and risk management matters in a very entrepreneurial and collegial environment.
Areas of involvement include, but is not limited to, negotiating and advising in connection with broker/distributor, supply chain and manufacturing, services and licensing arrangements in a global corporate environment. In addition, Corporate Counsel will administer company’s substantial trademark portfolio and will assist in regard to acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate compliance matters.
What are the things that you will be held accountable for:
- Provide legal advice to international teams in connection with day to day as well as strategic matters.
- Administer and protect corporation’s trademark portfolio.
- Structure, draft, edit, and negotiate broker, distribution, 3PL, supply chain, manufacturing, services, licensing and related agreements.
- Provide advice as needed to support company programs
- Develop forms, templates, and training
- Work closely with and report to Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary on additional business areas which require support, including corporate, human resources, compliance and food law regulatory matters.
- Prepare regular reporting to identify the progress made in various business areas
What you will need to know to be great at this job:
- 5-9 years of experience with complex commercial and/or corporate transactions, preferably including broker/distributor, 3PL, supply chain, manufacturing and services arrangements and advice.
- Additional generalist experience with intellectual property, corporate compliance and governance, a plus.
- Global experience, including experience working across time zones and in different legal systems.
- Experience from a top tier law firm and/or in-house. In-house experience preferred.
- Takes ownership of projects and relationship building to find creative solutions to challenging problems.
- Must have “can-do” attitude, sense of humor, and enjoy being a team player who works with others to get the job done.
- Likes to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Active member in good standing in at least 1 state Bar.
- Experience working for a consumer packaged goods business and related knowledge of food law regulations are preferred.
- High energy, self-starter with strong drive for results and a demonstrated passion for understanding and meeting the Company’s needs.
- Proven record of partnering with cross functional management team to meet time lines while delivering high quality results.
- Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with subordinates peers and upper management.
- Strong written and oral skills. Ability to present compelling and concise evidence to support positions.
- Able to absorb new concepts rapidly and provide intellectual challenge to accepted ideas.
- The successful candidate will be flexible, creative, collaborative, and a decision maker.
Who will you need to be able to influence:
- Work closely and influence the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.
- Work closely with all Members of the BOLT (Beverage Operating Leadership Team) as needed
- Support the owner of the projects assigned.
