GAO’s Office of General Counsel is seeking four experienced attorneys: two attorneys to join its appropriations law practice and two attorneys to join its financial management and assurance practice.
Appropriations law attorneys carry out the Comptroller General’s statutory responsibility to provide opinions to Members and Committees of Congress and decisions to agency officials and accountable officers on matters of appropriations law. Attorneys in OGC’s financial management and assurance practice provide legal advice and assistance to GAO’s Financial Management and Assurance audit team, Congress, and others on a wide variety of issues associated with executing and improving the federal government’s financial management.
