EE/Computer/Physics Associate (2-5 years’ experience)

The Firm seeks an associate to work closely with renowned clients in drafting and prosecuting electronic and software-related patent applications for cutting-edge technologies. Requirements include an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related science with strong knowledge of computer systems or machine learning.  A minimum of two years’ experience in patent preparation and prosecution is preferred. Chemical Prosecution Associate (3-5 years’ experience)

The Firm seeks an experienced associate to serve our rapidly growing base of clients in the chemical and pharmaceutical arts, and in particular for patent preparation and prosecution.  However, as you grow with Lerner David, you will have opportunities to work directly with clients in other aspects of our patent practice, including clearance investigations and opinions, client counseling, management and strategic planning.  Strong background in organic chemistry and demonstrated skills in patent preparation and prosecution is essential. Mechanical Prosecution Associate (2-4 years’ experience)

The Firm seeks an Intellectual Property attorney with approximately two years’ experience for sophisticated patent prosecution and opinion practice. However, as you grow with Lerner David, you will have opportunities to work directly with clients in other aspects of our patent practice, including clearance investigations and opinions, client counseling, management and strategic planning.  Mechanical engineering or similar background preferred. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication and investigational skills and experience in prior art research, patent application drafting, prosecution and the analysis of invalidity and infringement issues.  Experience with medical devices is a plus. Litigation Associate (3-5 years’ experience)

The Firm seeks an associate to assist in patent litigation matters.  Requirements include a technical or scientific background with a minimum of two years’ experience in litigation. Candidates must have superior communication skills and ability to work with clients.  Prosecution experience and knowledge of the ITC is a plus.
